In 2012, the Renewal Ministries team consisting of six members from the U.S. as well as six others from Slovakia and the Czech Republic, conducted a 5-day city-wide mission in Presov, Slovakia. The mission included teachings on the New Evangelization, Faith & Holiness, Knowing & Sharing Jesus, Theology of the Body, as well as workshops, testimonies and personal prayer ministry. Special ministry was also conducted with teens, young adults, married couples, professionals, parents of children with addiction and the NAIM community.
During the second week, the mission team crossed the border by car into the Moravian Region of the Czech Republic to present parish missions in several parishes and villages. In addition to the well-attended parish sessions, the team also provided teaching and prayer ministry to groups of seniors, high school students, mothers, and Alpha group participants. Many hearts were touched throughout the week by the teachings and the prayers, with many experiencing a greater outpouring of the Holy Spirit and conversion of heart. Renewal Ministries has been invited to return next year.
The cost for the 2013 trip is approximately $800, which does not include roundtrip airfare.
Ongoing Mission Information
Renewal Ministries has conducted missions to the middle European country of Slovakia for nearly fifteen years. Initial efforts concentrated primarily on the cities of Bratislava and Presov with the presentation of large Catholic rallies and evangelization and discipleship schools. In the past seven years our outreach has been extended to all quarters of the country with smaller rallies, five day parish missions in towns and villages, sharing in schools and university settings, and homes for the elderly, doing youth ministry, and conducting evenings of renewal and inner healing events.
