Since 2003, Renewal Ministries has been traveling to Mexico City to minister to the impoverished there in a garbage dump, an orphanage, and a senior men's facility. In the garbage dump, we provide basic medical care; distribute food, clothing, toiletries, and medicines; and spend time interacting with the workers and their children. We also visit an orphanage of 230 mentally handicapped children run by Mother Inez. We provide financial resources to her as well interact and pray with the children there. We also visit a government-run facility for elderly men, where we distribute clothing and interact and pray with the men. Most trips also include a visit to the Shrine of Guadalupe and other cultural sites.

Renewal Ministries often sends multiple mission teams to Mexico each year. In 2017, we sent four teams.  Two of these teams were composed of senior-level high school students from Father Gabriel Richard High School in Ann Arbor, Michigan and Young Adults in their 20-30's interested in missions and who desire to grow more as disciples of Christ.

Dates of the 2018 mission trips are:  January 2-8 (Young adult trip); April 3-9 (FGRHS trip); July TBD; November TBD.
