Each week, Ralph Martin, President of Renewal Ministries, co-host Peter Herbeck, and their guests, lead viewers on an exploration of important and inspiring topics surrounding faith and life in the Catholic Church. The Choices We Face began in 1985 and is currently the longest running Catholic television program in the world. It is available on five continents and is distributed by national and local cable networks, independent broadcast stations and international satellites. The Choices We Face can be viewed any time here at our website or on our You Tube channel.

Ralph Martin is president of Renewal Ministries, an organization devoted to Catholic renewal and evangelization. Ralph also hosts The Choices We Face, a widely viewed weekly Catholic television and radio program distributed throughout the world.

Ralph holds a doctorate in theology from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas (Angelicum) in Rome and is a professor and the director of Graduate Theology Programs in the New Evangelization at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in the Archdiocese of Detroit. He was named by Pope Benedict XVI as a Consultor to the Pontifical Council for the New Evangelization and was also appointed as a “peritus” to the Synod on the New Evangelization in October of 2012.

Ralph is the author of a number of books, the most recent of which are The Urgency of the New Evangelization: Answering the Call, The Fulfillment of All Desire: A Guidebook for the Journey to God Based on the Wisdom of the Saints, and Will Many Be Saved? What Vatican II Actually Teaches and Its Implications for the New Evangelization. He and his wife Anne have six children and sixteen grandchildren and reside in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Peter Herbeck is the vice president and director of missions for Renewal Ministries. For more than thirty years, he has been actively involved in evangelization and Catholic renewal throughout the US, Canada, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Peter is a co-host for the weekly television programs The Choices We Face and Crossing the Goal. He also hosts the daily radio show Fire on the Earth. He is a frequent conference speaker, has authored When the Spirit Comes in Power and When the Spirit Speaks, and has produced CDs and booklets about discipleship and life in the Spirit. Peter is involved with i.d.9:16, an outreach to Catholic young adults sponsored by Renewal Ministries. Peter and his wife Debbie have four children and reside in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Sister Ann Shields believes there is a major disconnect in the lives of many Catholics: a separation between God’s word and its application to our personal/daily lives. Sister Ann Shields, S.G.L., is a noted speaker and author whose activities as an internationally known evangelist have taken her to Eastern Europe, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, the Caribbean, Central America, Israel, the Philippines, and the British Isles, as well as numerous cities in the United States and Canada.

Based in Ann Arbor, Sr. Ann is a member of the Servants of God’s Love, a charismatic religious community canonically established in the Diocese of Lansing, Michigan.

Sr. Ann served in higher education for eighteen years as an English instructor and as head of college campus ministry.  She is currently the host of a daily radio program, Food for the Journey.

A frequent speaker at national and international conferences, Sr. Ann Shields has authored Pray and Never Lose Heart, What Am I Living For?, Yielding to the Power of God, Fire in My Heart, God Answers Prayer, God’s Severe Mercy: The Signs of the Times, and has co-authored And Their Eyes Were Opened: Encountering Jesus in the Sacraments with Fr. Michael Scanlan, T.O.R.

This daily radio show provides a compelling look at the New Evangelization through inspiring teachings, interviews and testimonies. Peter helps listeners respond personally to what the Holy Spirit is saying in our time.  Peter’s insights will help Catholics acquire the tools they need to do their part in the New Evangelization.

Peter Herbeck is the Vice President and Director of Missions for Renewal Ministries. Peter oversees the work of lay mission teams throughout the world who work to equip Catholic lay people, bishops, priests, and religious to respond to Blessed Pope John Paul II’s call for a new evangelization. He has traveled extensively in the U.S., Canada, Africa, and Eastern Europe for the past thirty years, assisting and training local churches in proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ and ministering through the exercise of spiritual gifts. Peter is the co-host of the weekly television show The Choices We Face, and the host of the daily radio show Fire on the Earth. Peter also is a co-host on Crossing the Goal, the popular show for men broadcast weekly on EWTN.

He is a frequent conference speaker, and the author of books and audio tapes about discipleship and life in the Spirit. He has authored a book entitled When the Spirit Comes in Power and co-authored When the Spirit Speaks, Touched by God’s Word, with his wife Debbie.

Peter holds a B.A. in Philosophy from St. Thomas University in St. Paul, Minnesota and an M.A. in Theology from Sacred Heart Seminary in Detroit, Michigan.

Peter and his wife Debbie have four children, ages 18 to 25, and are members of Christ the King parish in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
