Join us for the Annual Gathering of the Renewal Ministries Family.
May 30-June 1, 2008
Renewal Ministries is gathering together old friends and new
acquaintances for a weekend of prayer, fellowship and spiritual
refreshment. As the Renewal Ministries family we are joined together
by a common desire and vision to proclaim Jesus Christ in the
power of the Holy Spirit through Catholic renewal and evangelization. Our theme this year, taken from Pope Benedict XVI’s latest encyclical letter, Spe Salvi, is “In Hope We Were Saved.”
Deepening our Vision
- Speakers:
We will have three very special guests with us this year from Ghana. First, His Eminence Peter Cardinal Turkson, Archbishop of Cape Coast has graciously accepted our invitation. Cardinal Turkson has become a close friend of Renewal Ministries and continues to be a source of inspiration and encouragement to all of us. He is an extraordinary teacher and biblical scholar, and has a passion for renewal and evangelization. I know all those who attend will be deeply touched by his ministry.
In addition, Mr. Anthony Assibey and Mr. Emmanuel Tamakloe from Kumasi, Ghana will join us. Anthony is a gifted Catholic lay evangelist who the Lord has used to train and equip lay leaders throughout Africa for the new evangelization. We’ve had the privilege of partnering with Anthony in our work in Ghana and have been deeply impressed by the wisdom, vision and passion he is able to impart to all those he ministers to. Emmanuel works closely with Anthony and, among other things, has a tremendous gift for worship.
