Patti Mansfield to appear on ‘Bookmark’

Patti and Al Mansfield at the Ark and the Dove Retreat House on the forty-ninth anniversary of the “Duquesne Weekend,” during which the Holy Spirit fell in power on a handful of university students there. Many in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal, and others baptized in the Holy Spirit, trace their beginnings back to this event.

Patti Mansfield, one of the pioneers in the Catholic Charismatic movement and a frequent guest on The Choices We Face, will be a guest on EWTN’s Bookmark program on Sunday, Aug. 14 at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time. Doug Keck will interview Patti about her new book, As By A New Pentecost: Golden Jubilee Edition. 

As By A New Pentecost: Golden Jubilee Edition describes the dramatic outpouring of the Holy spirit on the Duquesne Weekend in 1967 and follows the spread of this “current of grace” over its fifty-year history.  This edition contains many new testimonies from the pioneers of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal.

The half-hour-long Bookmark program will be broadcast again at three other times during the week: Monday, Aug. 15 at 5 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.; and Saturday, Aug. 20 at 5:30 p.m. (Each airing is listed in Eastern Time.)
