We will conduct three missions in Ghana in 2019.

In July of 1996, Bishop Charles Palmer Buckle (now archbishop of Accra) came to Ann Arbor to discuss the possibility of working with Renewal Ministries to bring teaching and training to his country. In July of 1998, Renewal Ministries and the FIRE (Faith, Intercession, Repentance, and Evangelization)team held our first evangelistic rally in Ghana. A few years later, Peter Cardinal Turkson (then archbishop) came to Ann Arbor to lead Renewal Ministries' staff retreat. Since then, we’ve had a very blessed and fruitful relationship with the Church hierarchy in Ghana.

We have conducted evangelization and discipleship schools, catechist training, retreats for priests and religious sisters, healing and deliverance training, leadership training for the Catholic Charismatic Renewal, parish outreach programs, and teaching and training in the major seminary in Cape Coast. In 2008, partnering with Come and See Catholic Bible Study, we sent 600 Bibles, 600 catechisms, and more than 500 cases of Bible studies, food, clothing, and liturgical supplies to Ghana. In 2014, we conducted a regional rally for the Year of Faith in Donkorkrum
