“God calls each person to follow Him in different ways. God revealed my vocation to me in different events of my life, through different people I have met, and especially through prayer. Prayer is the best way through which I have discerned my vocation.” – Deacon Chau Doan | Former Country Coordinator for Vietnam
Renewal Ministries took its inaugural trip to Vietnam in 2007, at the request of Deacon Chua Doan and Bishop Joseph Nguyen Chi Link of the Thanh Hoa Diocese. Vietnam has a population of 87 million people; six million are Catholics, and the Church is growing. It is a Communist country, but we are allowed to minister within the Church property, which usually includes parishes, rectories, convents, or seminaries. In our trips to Vietnam, we’ve ministered to priests, religious sisters, seminarians, and lay people. We have taught on faith, evangelization, healing, gifts of the Holy Spirit, and prayer ministry.
