Weekly Inspiration: A Constant Companion

by | Jan 19, 2026

At this year’s SEEK conference, I felt inspired to be particularly attentive to the promptings of the Holy Spirit for who I should talk to, what sessions to attend, and how best to participate in the event. Instead of setting up lots of meetings and detailing the schedule for each day (which I had done in the past), I spent time each morning offering my day to the Lord and entrusting my interactions to the Holy Spirit. In particular, I put a copy of my book in my back pocket and asked the Holy Spirit to show me who to give it to. It was a blast. Each day, I had little moments of Holy Spirit prompting me to do or say certain things, and I came home from the conference all the more convinced of God’s tremendous faithfulness and attentiveness to each aspect of our lives.

The Holy Spirit isn’t distant or uninterested but a constant companion eager to empower, guide, inspire, and convict. This week, let’s invite the Lord into every detail of our lives; nothing is too small or inconsequential for him.
