When I returned from the trip, not only was the work done well, but it was also done better than I would have done. It’s an incredible gift to work with amazing people and it’s even better knowing it’s not all up to me.

The same applies to my spiritual life. I have a responsibility to pursue holiness, but it’s not all up to me. In fact, the more I surrender to the Holy Spirit and trust the Lord, the more holy I can become. Of course, I must cooperate and do my part, but there’s a freedom in knowing that the Lord wants this for me more than I do, and if I just let him have his way, the work will be done way better!
